FAQ
This is to ensure Princess Bridal’s can offer you a unique and enjoyable shopping experience in an intimate and comfortable setting. Our team of wedding dress concierges will assist you in finding not only a dress that fits you, but one that shows your individual personality within your time frame and budget.
So you can plan, our bridal gown appointments are approximately 90 minutes.
To help us help you, please bring pictures of dresses you’ve seen on our website, in magazines, online or that you’ve tried on elsewhere. Remember to bring an open mind. Don’t be surprised if you find “the dress” on your first visit to Princess Bridals.
Please bring your closest friend or family member whose opinion you value and trust. These are people are who should know you well and whom you want to share the experience of buying your wedding gown. Bridal magazine experts advise NOT to bring too many people. The focus should be on you. Bringing more than two others can take the focus off of you.
Most of our wedding gown collections are real women sizes from size 0 to 32. We also carry the largest selection of designer Curvy Couture wedding dresses on Long Island.
Our designers do not allow cameras in the boutique while you are shopping. Once you have purchased your dress, you may take as many pictures as you would like to commemorate your most special day.
Special-order designer veils have a 6 to 8 months lead-time, so making a decision at the time you order your gown is desirable. If you need to at your first fitting, you can order a custom veil which we’ll make for you on premise.
Absolutely! Most brides find their dress on their first visit to Princess Bridals. They also find all their accessories (veils, headpieces, shoes, jewelry etc) on their first visit.
You may walk in at any time to look at jewelry during regular hours Monday-Friday. Appointments are required on Saturdays and Sundays. Appointments are required for all veils and headpieces on any day of the week.
No we do not.
We recommend, as does Brides Magazine and others, anywhere between 10-12 months.
Most of the wedding gowns we sell are special-order. A special-order gown is made specifically for you by a designer, based on the measurements we take from you, the designer then uses their pattern that is closest to your measurements to create your gown. We then fit it to perfection for your body.
Princess Bridals will be happy to take a small sample from your actual dress when it arrives from the designer; as dye lots vary widely, this will give you the best color to use for matching.
